Manage lists from the My Portfolios & Markets sidebar

Conveniently manage portfolio lists from the My Portfolios & Markets sidebar on the right side of the Yahoo7 Finance home page. It includes your portfolio lists and market watchlists we've created. You can choose which ones you see, arrange them so your favorites are at the top, create and delete them, add and delete symbols, and much more.

Things you can do from the sidebar

Create a list

  1. Sign in to Yahoo7 Finance.
  2. Click Customize next to "My Portfolio & Markets"
  3. Click Create a new list.
  4. Enter a name for the new list and click Save.

Delete a list

  1. Click Customize next to "My Portfolio & Markets."
  2. Mouse over the list you want to delete and click the Delete icon Image of trash icon. that appears.
  3. Click Delete Watchlist.

Hide a list

  1. Click Customize next to "My Portfolio & Markets."
  2. Uncheck lists you don't want displayed. (Check lists you do want to be displayed.)
  3. Click outside the pop up window to close it.

Rename a list

  1. Click Customize next to "My Portfolio & Markets."
  2. Mouse over the list you want to rename and click the Edit icon that appears.
  3. Enter the new name for the list.
  4. Click Save.

Rearrange lists

  1. Click Customize next to "My Portfolio & Markets."
  2. Mouse over the list you want to move.
  3. Click and drag it up or down to the position you want it in.

View list details

To view expanded, detailed information about the symbols in a list, click on the list name.

Add symbols to a list

  1. Click Add Symbol for the list you want to add to.
  2. In the "Add Symbol" box, enter one or more ticker symbols separated by commas or spaces.
  3. Press Enter.

Rearrange symbols in a list

  1. Mouse over the symbol you want to delete.
  2. Click and drag it up or down to the position you want it in.
    (You can't drag symbols from one list to another.)

Remove symbols from a list

  1. Mouse over the symbol you want to delete and click the x that appears.
  2. Click Yes to confirm that you want to delete the symbol.
